My new sandwich!
I was sitting around this morning relaxing....started getting hungry. I couldn't decided what I wanted....did I want breakfast.....did I want lunch? Bacon and eggs kept coming to mind...and so did having a BLT! So what did I do??? I combined the two and made a BLT topped with a fried egg.... OMG! It was yummy!!!! Now I have to decide what to call it....LOL!

Red Lobster - Killeen
Our first review is here!
Red Lobster, a nationwide chain.
We were greeted and seated quickly by a very friendly hostess. Our server greeted us in a timely manner and got our drink orders while dutifully explaining the current specials. Charley ordered Walt's Favorite Shrimp and I ordered the Make your own Feast and chose Walt's Favorite Shrimp and the Wood-grilled Salmon. Charley opted for the Clam Chowder, while I chose the house garden salad.
First Bites:
The Chowder was quite tasty, although Charley thought it was a bit on the thin side for his tastes. My salad was fresh, tasty and actually had the perfect amount of dressing.
Main Courses:
Fried Shrimp was good on both plates....I've learned to accept good, unless I'm on the coast and then I expect perfection.
My Wood-grilled Salmon was a bit over cooked but had that yummy wood-grilled taste that I was looking for.
Service:
We found the service, after being seated, a bit on the slow side. Our server seemed to be a little overwhelmed, maybe he was new. Another server saw us sitting with empty glasses and got more for us, thankfully. If you know me....my tips are often based on how long I have to wait on my refill....LOL! We thought our server rallied in the end until he brought our check, failed to leave us a pen and disappeared. We had to flag down another server and ask for a pen.
Not the best experience, nor the worst....at least for Killeen....
Until next time.....happy eating around the dinner table!

A new adventure......
I've decided to Blog about my adventures in eating out around Central Texas. My husband, Charley, love to eat out and try new places in the process. I'm the adventurous one when it comes to trying new foods, while Charley usually sticks to his tried and true favorites. Hope you'll join us.
My plan is to tell you where we ate, what dishes we had and how the food was, and about the service we received....or didn't receive...
If there's somewhere you'd like us to try....let us know!
See you at the dinner table!
